Butterfly Backplate

The Custom Master Butterfly backplate is a «butterfly»-style plate for twin tanks, laser-cut from food-grade stainless steel. The characteristic butterfly shape mounts the two tanks symmetrically on either side of the backplate’s central axis, giving even weight distribution and helping keep a horizontal body position underwater without extra ballast.

The butterfly configuration is widely used in technical and cave diving, where a twin-tank system is standard: it lets you carry more gas while keeping a compact gear profile. Food-grade stainless steel resists corrosion in both salt and fresh water and holds its shape over long-term use.
